Site Package: VAZ
Breakdown of website plan based on a content focused approach with an e-commerce site option.
The ideal scenario is to develop a content focused website with an e-commerce sub domain. Having WordPress as a main content site provides much more flexibility when it comes to utilizing the site as a brand springboard along with several content focused features (ex: membership, paid courses, paywall systems).
But the biggest reason for this strategy to build up organic traffic getting found on SEO via Google naturally. Organic traffic takes time to build but when cultivated results in long term visitor growth. While a Shopify site allows for content pages to be included, it does not necessary have it in the same capacity as a fully fledged content site like WordPress allows. In other words, if you build enough content, people would eventually find you exponentially over a period of time for FREE!
Emphasis also needs to be placed on development on effective page interfaces making the input and display of relevant content more useful. Even though SEO and keywords are valuable, it’s equally important to keep the visitor at your site longer long enough for you to hold them captive to your message.

APPROACH: CONTENT FOCUS
WP Focused as Main Site w Shopify as Subdomain Site
The main site will be a WordPress site. The Shopify site will be installed on a subdomain as a storefront website. The main site will incorporate more content that would reference the store with call-to-action buttons and add to cart.
APPROACH: ECOMMERCE FOCUS
Shopify Focused as Main Site
In this scenario, the Shopify site will be used as the main content site. The advantage this allows is that the main site is automatically a storefront website. The disadvantage is that removing WordPress deprives us of so many content features.
Phase 2: Site Development
This stage will take all of what we learned from Phase 1 and approach development for Phase 2 – mainly coding the website. At this point, we will decide whether to focus on a Shopify “only” approach vs a WP / Shopify “hybrid”.
